Suitable surfaces include solid wood, metal, or concrete walls. Hollow or hollow-core walls are not recommended due to the product weight.
Inside Mount: Measure the width at the top, center, and bottom of the opening. Round down to the nearest 1/8 inch and use the smallest measurement. Ensure your tape is level and horizontal. Measure the height at the left, middle, and right. Round down to the nearest 1/8 inch and use the smallest measurement. Ensure your tape is vertical and straight.
Outside Mount: Measure the desired coverage area. Alternatively, you can measure the actual width and height of the opening and add 2 to 6 inches (5.1 to 15.2 cm) to both dimensions for better coverage.
Installation takes approximately 1-2 hours.
No professional experience is required. Our detailed installation manual walks you through every step. For easier installation, we recommend having two people. If preferred, you can hire a local installer.
Incorrect. The Side Rails must be assembled with the Main Frame first to determine the exact installation position. If the Side Rails are fixed to the wall before assembly, you may encounter insufficient installation space, or the shade may become misaligned and unable to operate smoothly later.
The bottom ends of the main frame are designed with dedicated grooves, allowing the side rails to be securely inserted and fixed into place for easy assembly. (Note: The metal end of each side rail is the top end — please insert this end into the groove. The end with the cover cap is the bottom end.)
Before securing the shade, move the Zipper Track shade to the desired top mounting position within the opening. Adjust the overall alignment and diagonals to ensure that both side rails are level and perfectly vertical. Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom, as well as the diagonal dimensions between corners. The three width measurements should be identical, and both diagonal measurements should also be equal. You can also check the distance between the bottom bar and each side rail — normally, there should be a small gap of 3mm on each side.
You can power it using an outlet-charging adapter or by connecting a solar panel.
The outlet-charging adapter cable is 78.74 inches (2m) long. The solar panel cable is 23.6 inches (0.6m) long. A 23.6-inch (0.6m) extension cable is available if additional length is needed.
You'll need a motor that supports smart protocols (not the standard motor) and a compatible smart hub positioned close to the shade—walls in between may weaken the signal. Use the remote to set the upper and lower limits first, then activate pairing mode according to the user manual.
Maintenance is simple. If you hear unusual noise or notice sticking, apply lubricant to the moving parts.
