How To Measure Doors For Shades

Measure the width of the glass inside each door across the top, middle and bottom.

Take the largest width and add 2’’-3’’ to it.

Same for the height measure. Top to bottom on the left, middle and right.

Take the largest height and add 4’’-6’’ to it.

You are going to take 3 measurements across the top, middle and bottom of the door opening.

If you choose outside mount, take the largest width and add at least 4’’ for maximum light coverage.

If the depth of the top frame is less than 2’’, choose outside mount.

If you choose inside mount, use the smallest width for your order.

If you choose outside mount, door heights are measured top to bottom from where you’ll place the headrail, typically 3’’-4’’ above the door.

If you choose inside mount, take 3 measurements top to bottom on left, middle, and right, use largest height for your order.

For 2 separate blinds in one window, take the biggest width and divide by 2.

For 3 separate blinds in one window, divide the width by 3.
