very easy to setup. very happy with the shade. used some old 100lb concrete chunks i had left over to anchor the brackets on the ground since mine was about a foot away from the wall. keeps this afternoon sun room significantly cooler. the AC actually keeps the room cool and the window is cool to the touch now.
Love the new shades on our back patio. Excellent quality and the motor is very quiet. Our patio faces north so I put them on the east and west ends to block the sun during sunrise and sunset. Had a little bit of trouble mounting the shorter one on the east end because the beam I was attaching it to was not level so the shade hit the side column when going up and down. So I put washers under the brackets on one end to compensate and it now works perfectly. On the longer one (96") I had trouble attaching it to the beam because the beam was uneven, which meant the brackets were not exactly level. So i just loosened the mounting screws just enough to allow a little bit of float in the distance from each bracket to the beam, which evened them out and I was able to snap the shade into the brackets. But as good as the product itself is, I want to give a shout out to SmartWings' customer service. When I called for help the phone was answered by real people - not an robot or an AI assistant who ask canned questions and require the punching of buttons to try and reach a person. And the people I spoke to were friendly and helpful. So kudos to the customer service reps I spoke to and to SmartWings for making it an enjoyable experience.
The product is great and works very well. No issues there. The instructions are not the clearest or easy to follow. I am quite handy and some of the mounting instructions left me unsure. Overall, great product at a great price and love the Matter motor.

Love this motorized shade! It’s on a west facing window that gets extremely hot in the afternoon. With the shade you can’t feel the heat when near the window. It’s amazing!

The shade works great! It keeps our front porch a lot cooler on hot afternoons like this while shielding the sun so we can look out. I think it looks attractive both inside and outside. The bit of privacy it provides is also welcome. I like it so much I am ready to order another for our middle deck in the back where we moved our hot tub to. Having a hot tub set to 85 degrees during the summer is refreshing but having the hot afternoon sun beating down is not welcome. Also this type shade will also provide privacy.

The shades came packed very well. instructions were great. We only had one question and we called and they cleared it up. We hung 3 large shades in about 3 hours.
Installation was a breeze! Roller moves smoothly and quietly. Fit was perfect. My only issue was the SmartLink hub only works with a 2.4g network and mine is 5g so I can't setup voice commands on Alexa. Customer service was top notch all the way. Thanks again!

Installation was straightforward, did need two people to lift the blinds up and into the brackets since our window is so wide (98”). The motor runs smoothly, and the outdoor shades are GREAT at keeping the afternoon sun from heating up our kitchen. 1% openness is perfect. We had manual crank shades before, but didn’t use them often because it was a hassle - love being able to open and close with the push of a button from inside.

I spent close to a year researching and checking all kind of solar shades to put on my front porch. I chose the smart wing shades they are custom fit to the columns on the front of my house. installation was flawless, I did it myself, and my wife was very pleased with everything! That was a big test there! I highly recommend smart wing. There were no surprises and everything went smoothly!
DIYer, installation was easy. Love that I didn't need to provide AC power. Neat and trim. But the fabric isn't up to Sunbrella standards. I have other Sunbrella fabric shades that have been up in Southern California for 15 years facing east southeast and no sign of falling apart. I'm not confident this will last as long. But if you factor in the cost and convenience they're comparable. The shade in the photo is over 60"s tall, no way Sunbrella would roll up so nicely on the smaller spool Smart Wings used. The Sunbrella fabric is much heavier. The smaller spool, the battery power and easier installation have me considering it for other windows as well. Arrival time was have if what I was told at checkout. Chat for help was awesome. No sign of getting impatient with my dozens of questions Well earned 5 Starts!
This was my first purchase of motorized shades/blinds. I was a bit skeptical on motorized shades. Seen too many failed attempts at motorizing blinds./shades. Smartwings website is very encompassing and they offer a plethora of different solutions. You can request samples (pay only shipping) of the actual materials they use. I purchased the outdoor blinds for my small rear lanai. You can choose from a good selection of fabrics, there are also a few different protocols to choose from(Zwave, Matter, WiFi etc..) I choose Matter as I have fairly new Alexa devices and use Alexa as my Smarthome hub. They arrived well packed with no damage. Installation is easy and they include a template to make it even easier. Remotes come preprogrammed from the factory, I did run into a few issues with programming etc..Their customer support is customer focused and it’s very easy to reach them. Rachelle one of their support persons was extremely knowledgeable and most important had the patience to walk me through what was needed. If you are on the fence regarding motorizing your blinds call them, they will explain how easy it is and be there if you run into any problems. I have included photos of my install, I have a Alexa routine that closes them at sunset and partially opens them on sunrise. They look great and are “ wife approved” My experience was awesome thanks to Rachelle and I will be purchasing a few more for my front lanai(screen room).
We live in SC and the summer sun makes our Carolina room just too hot. We wanted shades to mount outside the windows so they block the heat before it even hits the windows. But it was also important to us to be able to control them with a remote from inside. We priced shades like these locally and they were twice the price of Smart Wings. It took some work to get the measurements right but Tia was very helpful with that. Our shades arrived within about two weeks and we could not be more impressed with the quality. They’re beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Installation was pretty easy too. We will definitely buy from Smart Wings again and recommend to others.

These shades accomplished precisely what I was looking for. Installation was easy, and connecting them to Apple Home via Matter worked flawlessly. I mounted the solar panel on the back of each frame. After 1 month, two are at 100% and one is at 99%
The were easy to install although one bracket I had to raise 1/8" and then everything fit properly. It tucked in nicely with the sliding door. I got the zwave unit because I use smartthings and many zwave devices. Smartthings is linked with alexa so now I can use the remote that I bought for setup which works well. In the morning when the sun blares in the window from the sky and from a reflection of the pond, I just say, " Alexa, close kitchen blind". Then it smoothly lowers and looks great. Just before it gets to the bottom it slows down and stops precisely where I programmed it to stop. I have two more sliding doors. I am going to double check that the measurements are the same and will likely buy those too. I absolutely love it. Time will tell about reliability. I bought the solar panel to reduce the need for charging but I have not decided where I would like to mount it. The shade is rounded where I thought I would place it so I am not sure the adhesive strip would hold well in that position. On the web I saw pictures with it there so I am a bit confused about it. Honestly, I will be able to figure it out and just want to take my time to get it right the 1st time.
