It turned out great. The letters are small and may be difficult to read but that’s no fault of Smartwings. My advise is to keep the letters to a minimum and it should be fine.
Love this remote and that it fits in with my rocker switches! One thing I wished I knew before ordering is that you can select multiple channels before operating, so my “All” laser engraved button is a little pointless, but I still would have gotten the 5-channel, so no harm. I just ordered another remote for my living room.

I am VERY pleased with this remote!! It is on the wall next to the light switch. So easy to use when entering or leaving the room. The pre-set buttons are great because I don’t have to wait for the shade to get to a certain “open” setting…I just tap one and leave!! I really like this remote!

This remote works well as a wall mount remote in a gang box and buttons up the overall installation nicely. I do want to point out the removing the back cover from the remote is very difficult. There are total 8 plastic latch points and one spot for a screwdriver to pry open. This puts lot of force on the plastic cover and while I was trying to open it, the cover cracked in two places where it was latched. This is a poor design and I would expect that an easily removable cover can be designed for this remote - a slide out cover or a screw down cover. The current cover will break and stop working after 1-2 battery changes.
Laser engraving is a nice touch. Works well and looks like a wired system installed on the wall.
I've had a house full of Smartwings shades for about 6 months. The quality is great, and the color and texture options are plentiful. I have the single channel remotes next to each window. they look like a normal wired decoro switch. It's really easy to just press the button when you are standing next to the window. Creating scenes in the app and triggering them is less elegant. you need to remember the Alexa command or pull out your phone, open the app, and top the scene. The 5 channel controller works well for me. I typically want to close all the shades for a movie. Now, with the Smartwings 5-channel remote on a pedestal next to the Lutron remote, one click on each remote closes the shades and dims the lights. It would be amazing if Smartwings made a remote like this what was also a scene controller. I highly recommend these over the handheld remotes. They just look so clean and professional when mounted on the wall. The remote includes a single gang screwless wall plate, some little screws and anchors, and also a little plate to mount only the remote to the wall if you don't want a big single gang plate around it.
This allowed us to easily reprogram and control all of our skylights. The customized buttons were so helpful.
