Outstanding value and easier than I ever imagined!
After getting quotes from three other installers and the lowest coming in at nearly $10,000, I was getting close to biting the bullet and pay to get the windows done. Three weeks to a month went by and then I decided to try Smartwings Zebra shades, and I couldn't be happier. My total cost? Just over $5,600 for 17 motorized windows (85% blackout), including two 15-channel remote controls covering our large slider and living room windows.
At 74 years old, I'll admit I was nervous about self-installing. But I took my time, followed the instructions carefully, and worked through two or three windows a day. Once I finished the first couple, it actually became enjoyable — and I have to say, I'm pretty smitten with myself over how it turned out! Honestly, the hardest part wasn't the installation at all; it was unpacking all those boxes and breaking them down for the recycle bin.
From my kitchen table with my coffee in hand, I open and set each window with my remote...proudly.
Just love these blinds. I was quoted $5k+ for lesser blinds - included installation, but a friend and I managed quite well. These are 85% blackout.
I may get a narrower zebra stripe for my living room windows. I won’t need blackout for those.
I love everything about these blinds or roller shade. Mind sits outside the the frame.Use the existing frame brackets that were there from the vertical blinds, not a problem.They were super easy to install , snapped right in super happy. For me , these are a ten out of ten highly recommend.
This blind is for our bathroom window. It's actually a "wet room" with a tub and a shower behind a glass wall. The glass is open at the top so hopefully the humidity isn't too high in there for the blind. We'll see if it holds up over time.
The fabric is a nice soft look to go with the "spa" look we are going for. We'll add some plants in there and it should look great.
Ordered out Zebra blinds with zigbee motors and a smart link. Installed 4 blinds in less than 2 hours, and connected to the smart life app via smart link. They seemlessly integrated with alexa with no issues.

High quality blinds with excellent mounting brackets. Installation was a breeze. Remotes come paired set at min/max travel points based off your dimensions. Measuring windows is simple just follow the instructions. For home automation choose your motor wisely if you plan to run off your phone. Might have to read up on the different wireless protocols. You can use the home automation or just the remote it comes with.

Automated these to automatically raise up when the dog jumps on the couch. Now she can look outside and not destroy my blinds in the process! They work great! Need these in other rooms now!
The Zebra blinds are really nice! I face the hot afternoon Texas sun and needed a solid blackout solution but my requirements for blackout change throughout the afternoon. I like the flexibility that the Zebra blinds give me.
I purchased these zebra blinds for my sliding door, and I love that I can schedule them. I don’t even need to touch the remote! They close at sunset, partially open at sunrise, and fully open by 10 a.m. I love them so much that as soon as I can, I plan to spend $2,000 to outfit the rest of my house with these blinds.
We ordered a single, hard wired, 12 volt zebra blind as a test. Install and fit were fine. The fabric had a void in one if the horizontal bars.
I inquired if this was a seam and if this was normal. They felt is was over stretched during manufacturing and offered to replace the fabric. They asked if they could include the replacement fabric with the main home order, which I was fine with.
Instead they sent out a complete blind and motor right away.
The remainder of the blinds have arrived, been mounted, wired and are great with no issues.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Shipping is so fast and well packaged. Very easy to install the brackets. Hold the button for six seconds to pair the zigbee motor with a SmartThings hub. Customer service is incredible they shipped me a replacement blind for an issue I had and I was up and running in a week. Great company great product, they deserve the praise they are getting.
Could not be more happy with our decision to use Smartwings blinds. Measuring , installing, so EASY. These 3 window treatments are on 1 remote and move together . We deal with afternoon sun exposure into our dining area so having the ability to quickly adjust the blinds is awesome. We have a contemporary home and these blinds look so good across the front of our home . Additionally, our 2 bedroom windows on the front of the house have the same blinds and they are all set identically to have uniformity. Many people have stopped and asked us about our window treatments and we have received so many compliments. The quality is great!
