These are just great. We only ordered two sets of Blackout Rails, but we ordered one more set for the last window. We found a spray paint that matches the shade color nicely. Great company to work with, very friendly and helpful.

We love these electric blinds. We have a super big one in our private quarters at our business and it has made our lives so much easier. We just open it in the morning and look out at our garden of Eden. We have now started incorporating them in our office space. We love the easy they offer in opening and closing whenever we want. So far we have been happy! Bought a roller blind to cover a sliding glass door. The Matter motor was pricey to me, but hopefully we get some years use out of it. I use HomeKit and it was pretty simple to pair and now Siri can open and close the blinds. Also have automation for when we leave and to open in the mornings. Just make sure you triple check measurements as that had me worried, but we nailed it perfectly!

The blackout fabric is very nice in person. Absolutely beautiful and sturdy. The fit was spot on for both windows. The remote was programmed with each window on one channel and then I programmed another to be both windows together. So easy! I later installed light blockers on the side. Some light still sneaks in along the top of the shade and where the blockers stop but they still make a big difference! I definitely plan to buy more for our new home.

These shades are awesome. I ordered a Smartwings shade with the Zigbee motor. It was easy to operate with the included remote and after some initial setup difficulty, even easier with voice control via my Alexa Show 8 (my Alexa command word is "Ziggy" which is heard in the video). Here are 5 features that make it truly awesome: 1) Shades can be operated with voice commands like most other things in my home. 2) Setting a schedule for closing at dusk and raising at dawn is even more convenient than voice commands. I enjoy waking up to the aroma of my freshly brewed coffee (also on a timer) to find the shade has raised itself so I can view the morning sky. 3) It slows to a crawl as it nears the final position (so that it gently settles in place rather than going bam!). 4) It can be positioned at any percentage of closed via voice control (e.g., "Ziggy, Front Blinds 80%" or "Ziggy, Front Blinds 50%"). 5) The motor stops if it encounters an obstacle so that it doesn't rip the shade apart (this happened to me due to having the window open for an initial video with a stiff breeze coming through). I'm so happy with this one that I plan on ordering 2 more for my other living room windows. I get 8% off of those for providing this review (no restrictions on how I rate the shade, 5 stars is simply what it deserves).

SmartWings, We are really happy with our roller shades. We needed automated motorized blackout shades to replace clumsy traditional wooden blinds at several large windows in our bedroom. I did a side-by-side test to see what would look and work best. I bought two different shades in two different configurations and mounted them on side-by-side windows. First, we ordered the material sample set, which was a really smart thing to do to really see all the colors and materials. The purchase, customization, and delivery were very easy. Love the options and the thoroughness of the website; other site I visited didn't have anywhere near that much detail. I unboxed and mounted the shades and had them working in under 30 minutes each, and I am certainly not a professional. You can see in the video that the 100% blackout vinyl shades mounted inside the window work perfectly and look good, but they do allow light in the edges. I didn't want to mount supplemental brackets to keep the light out. (I might use the inside mount shades at my office windows in the front of the house.) I mounted the 100% blackout dual sided Bouvardia shades outside the frame with a 3” overlap each side and a reverse roller configuration so the shade is right next to the wall. This also works perfectly and eliminates almost all the light. The Bouvardia is beautiful; I plan to order some more shades like it in the bedroom once we get it repainted. Thanks, SmartWings! I ordered 7 different styles of room darkening with solar panel motorized blinds. Love the solar panel and works without a ton of direct sunlight. I did a lot of research and installation was easy. I am quite a handy woman and except for my 94" wide blind, I installed brackets and put up all blinds myself without any help! The pairing videos on YouTube are fantastic and I references many times. I have Alexa so I read that my Echo 4th Gen would pair with blinds however word of warning, Echo 4th Gen with SMART HUB is needed (not all have smart hub w Zigbee). I don't know how I missed this. I bought a Zigbee Gateway, set up and while that was confusing, I finally got right app (Tuya, instructions had a different app NOT compatible w Alexa) where I could pair the blinds and then Alexa connected automatically AFTER I enabled Tuya in "Skills and Games" area of Alexa. There is a "link" for Alexa in the Tuya app as well. My house, being quite large needs a gateway extender. One blind keeps going "offline" until I move gateway closer and re-pair. Other than that the 15 channel remote works and Tuya app also will open or close. The only weird thing is I have to say "Alexa On blinds" for open and "off blinds" for close so rest of family is learning this as well. I love the sleep look of all the different blinds. They seem to be made well so time will tell as I've only had installed for 2 days.

I was pleased, yet skeptical to discover Smartwings. Most other smart home blinds are ridiculously expensive, or don't offer sufficient customization options. However, after reading some reviews, I decided to go for it. I'm quite pleased by the ease of installation and use. I do wish that the square valance came in a brushed metallic finish rather than just white and black. I recommend ordering the fabric samples before ordering, as the website photos are not always as representative of the detail as they could be. For example: the Bouvardia medium grey is actually a mottled blend of light and dark grey.

The supplied screws were a little too short for my situation but I just bought some longer ones at the hardware store and all was 100% good. Really love the clean look. Install, set up was very easy. Customer service is absolutely awesome! Quick response and very helpful! One thing I would suggest… if you have casement windows and you’re ordering inside the frame shades. Go ahead and order the reverse roll. I didn’t think about that when I ordered as I wanted the shade as close to the window as possible to reduce light. But the standard roll allows the shade to hit the window crank before the window sill. While it wasn’t terribly difficult to reverse roll the shade with the remote. It would be helpful if Smartwings made a note of that in the roll description as a note for users to check. The product is well made, easy to install and operate. Very pleased!

I have 5 sliding glass doors, and I was interested in shades, not blinds or curtains. I saw SmartWings (on Amazon) and took a chance on them. I ordered one, to make sure all was good before purchasing more. I have since ordered 3 more. The shade fit perfectly, they were easy to install, for one person and some ingenuity to prop up one side while installing the other side. I am very happy with the results and more so with the integration with Alexa. I received the first one in the Fall of 2025, and have been extremely happy with them!

Love the shades, but getting them set up was a bit bumpy. We are using the Alexa/Zigbee motor and one of three shades had connection issues. This has been resolved. The instructions on how to set up routines to control the shades were not included, but were supplied by customer service on request. Customer service was very good at helping is get things working. Also found the supplied wall anchors a bit weak, but using a larger screw made them adequate. Would definitely buy these again.

I order 3 shades and they are all very nice, but one of them came with the wrong material for the shade and valance. I emailed customer support and they were very helpful and after a couple of emails started the process to remake incorrect shade. I've had to talk to customer support while in the process of order shades (an issues with getting sample fabrics, asking for a discount because of missing black Friday deals because of that issue, and the current issue with the wrong fabric). SmartWings customer support have been incredible helpful and easy to work with each time I've dealt with them and even with having a few issues I'll definitely recommend SmartWings to other in part because of the great customer support.
