These blinds are attractive, ship quickly and are fairly easy to install (although two people are required for these long blinds). I ordered the HomeKit ones. They are easy to set up with HomeKit. They are far less expensive than Lutron Serena or RA3 (about 1/8th the price of RA3, I have some RA3 in my house). The customer support via email is fast and responsive (one of the blinds didn't have the HomeKit sticker attached - it must have fallen off). For an outside mount, be sure to note that the "width" is not the width of the blind but of the valance. Even though it's an outside mount, the valence is reduced by about 0.25" to be sure it fits in the window width (as if it were an inside mount) and there is another 1.5" lost for mechanics. That means that for an outside mount with 1" blind overlap past the window, you should order the window width plus 3.75".
We purchased four of these roller shades. Love them. These all work off the same remote, as well as our outdoor SmartWings motorized zipper track outdoor shade. We like remote control channel “0” that moves them all simultaneously.
"Our dining area faces west so mid day sun and sunset is a real challenge when it's 115 degrees outside. We previously purchased 2 small Smartwings blackouts in vinyl with remote for our bathroom as there are 2 windows that are "highlights" above the shower and next to the shower (36 X 16) that let in lots of light but the bath is open to the primary bedroom so mornings flood light in at 5 AM, not good for sleeping. The ceiling are 9 foot so the remote control is perfect and works amazing!
The dining area had cellular shades of high quality (Hunter) but the sun over 6 years destroyed them and they fell apart. The window is 72" X 72" so it's big and the solution was SmartWings Motorized Light Filtering Roller Shades 70% Blackout Safari to limit light but still keep the dining area a light filled focal point. It was easy to install with the "click on" brackets and the result is amazing, love Smartwings style, ease and the value!"
I recently had large sliding doors installed in my house. Originally, I was going to get some curtains but wanted a more clean look. Through my research, found this brand. The online ordering was very easy and installation was quick. I love them so so much. Highly recommend.
I have Put the shades in my entire house. I've used the 75% coverage smartwings matter shades. The thing that I love is, I get a lot of sun on one side of the house in the morning and then that switches to the other side of the house in the afternoon and by using Apple's HomeKit, the shades in the morning block the morning sun then the back of the house opens up and the front of the house closes when the sun hits the front of the house. It blocks the heat in the summer and keeps the house nice and cool..
I have about 14 shades in the house and three more to go. I've had them for over a year, not had one problem. I have solar chargers on the shades, so I never have to worry about charging the batteries.
I absolutely love these things. It's an expensive commitment, but it's half the price of its competitors..

We ordered a sample packet to help us decide which material and color we wanted for our sunroom, I highly recommend doing this before ordering your shades. Detailed instructions for measuring came with the sample packet. We then ordered online which was a very smooth process. These do ship from China which I was not aware of when I ordered however the shipping was extremely fast once they left the manufacturer. We are very pleased with the 2 shades we ordered and are planning to order 3 more for the other windows in this room. Highly recommend these shades.
The blinds came so well packaged and protected. It took me less than 10 minutes to install. The blind operates very smoothly and is extremely quiet. I can hardly hear it operate. I would definitely recommend and order again. Customer service was great, very friendly and helpful.

Great blind - love that it's smart (Z-wave is compatible with Smartthings hub, which is connected to Alexa so can easily configure schedules and voice command it). Quiet, installation was fairly easy (for the blind; where we placed was a challenge but installing the mountining brackets and snapping the blind in was straight forward).

Installed in an hour by myself. Very easy to install and put together. Instructions for measuring outside mount was correct. I added 3 inches on each side and it was the was perfect width.
