Yes — cellular shades are one of the most energy-efficient window treatments available.
Their honeycomb-shaped cells trap air, creating an insulating barrier between your window and the room.
In summer, they help block heat from entering your home, reducing the need for air conditioning. In winter, they help retain indoor warmth.
Many homeowners notice lower energy bills and more consistent indoor temperatures after installing cellular shades.
Both single cell and double cell cellular shades are designed to improve comfort and energy efficiency — the right choice depends on your needs, budget, and climate.
Single cell shades feature one layer of honeycomb pockets. They offer reliable insulation, a clean profile, and great value, making them a popular choice for everyday use and moderate climates.
Double cell shades include two layers of air pockets, creating an extra barrier against heat and cold. This design enhances insulation, helping maintain more stable indoor temperatures — especially in rooms with strong sun exposure or more extreme weather conditions.
Many homeowners choose double cell shades for sun-facing rooms or summer heat control, while using single cell shades in other areas to stay within budget.
Yes — blackout cellular shades generally provide better insulation than light-filtering options.
Their denser fabric helps reduce heat transfer more effectively. In general, blackout fabrics have a thermal resistance (R-value) of around 0.7–1.2 m²·K/W, with thicker fabrics offering stronger insulation performance.
Color can also play a role: lighter shades tend to reflect more heat, while darker shades absorb more light and warmth.
For enhanced energy efficiency, pairing blackout fabric with a double-cell structure can further improve insulation — especially during hotter months.
Yes — cellular shades can help reduce noise levels in your home.
Their honeycomb structure traps air within the cells, which helps absorb and dampen sound. While they won’t completely block out noise, they can noticeably soften outside sounds and create a quieter, more comfortable indoor environment.
They’re a great option for anyone who values a more peaceful space — especially light sleepers or households with young children, such as nurseries.
Cellular shades are versatile and work well in almost any room, but they’re especially beneficial in:
They’re particularly valuable in rooms with large windows or strong sunlight exposure, where energy efficiency makes the biggest difference.

Fantastic customer service and excellent shades. This was a second purchase. Would purchase again. I bought 10 shades and all of them were easy to order, easy to install and work fantastic with remote or Via the app. Strongly recommend

Precision-made; easy to install, beautiful; but the remote control instructions didn't match the more up-dated unit that shipped to me.

Awesome! Works great for our master ensuite so we can enjoy the view but still have privacy when desired. The top-up bottom-down design of this shade works perfectly. Even better, it is integrated with Apple Home allowing us to choose to operate with the remote or by voice. Very happy with this purchase.

I love my new Levitate top down - bottom up cellular shaded. I need the privacy but wanted some light in the morning and these were a great solution. The color is blue graphite but it’s very light in the daytime and darker at night. Perfect color. I made a mistake ordering and called the next morning. The service rep was fantastic and was able to call the factory before they started production to make the fix. 😅 Installation was very easy. It takes about 10 minutes. Happy customer!

II couldn't be happier with these shades. First, during the ordering process, customer service was very helpful. They recommended the best fabric choice to meet my needs and also provided the additional information I needed to decide between the two remote options. Installation was even easier than I had anticipated. Customer service answered the one question I had about antenna positioning. Out of the box, the remote was paired with the shade and the top and bottom stops were set appropriately. The instructions for setting a memorized shade position were very straightforward and everything works as advertised. I installed these for my daughter. She and her family are delighted with them. She has very high ceilings with window tops just below the ceiling and out of reach. The motorized shades make their lives much easier.

The Levitating blind I purchased for my front Living room window came exactly as ordered. The measurements and colour are spot on! It was easy to install as they provide a template for screw locations. I have not configured it yet for the matter integration into my Home automation and have been using it manually with the remote control. In my opinion it’s an excellent product that works smoothly and elegantly. A bit on the higher end of the price range however, with the options and functionality that is built into it,I feel it justifies the cost. If I am able to add a video or photos to this review after submitting, I will. It was purchased in March 2026.

Look great, works with matter hub well. Ingratiation into apple home-kit (just the open and close status) could be better, but since levitating shades were just added to the matter spec, I expect this to only get better on the next software update. (This is a open spec limitation right now, not caused by the shades). But controlling and automating these in home kit works great!

The top down bottom up remote control blinds are excellent. SmartWings are the only blind maker that would make this bilnd for our very wide window 106". We are very happly with SmartWings product and service!

I wanted a motorized center blind for my large living room window that has a center blind & a blind on the left & right sides. I would've selected the cream blind, however, it has a white valance & that would've been too many colors, since the left & right blinds a goldish (Bali). So, I ordered a white blind with white valance & that's good because the window trim & walls are white. Now, I'm learning how to program the remote & will see if YouTube has instructions on that. Smartwings blinds quality is just like Bali blinds quality! Thank you!

Very impressed with the product and ordering procedure. The customer service (responding to some emails) was outstanding...and then when the shades arrived, the packaging was absolutely superb/perfect and the installation instructions could not have been better. And one more thing: the pricing was very competitive! Highly recommend!
