SmartWings Motorized Roller Shades 100% Blackout Eclipse

These look pretty nice. They arrived quicker than promised. Some things to note: You get a lot of sunlight on both sides if you don’t order the sunlight blockers which are frames that adhere to the drywall on each side. If you ever remove it, the paint will probably come off with it. I ordered one with it and one without the sunlight blockers as shown in the pictures. I ordered seven shades, all the same length. The shade that came with the sunlight blockers was too short so I’m still getting a lot of sunlight through the bottom. I would recommend ordering them longer than you need since you can program it to stop at the right height anyway. One of the shades has a frayed side, so it kept getting caught on itself and tearing the threads off more and more. Finally, we cut away enough loose strings that it stopped getting hung up on itself. The backside of these are white vinyl so they don’t look good if you order them in the standard motor because you can see the white roll. But we were able to watch a video that shows how to reverse the motor so you can’t see the white side. Just know that it will look like white vinyl from the outside of the house. I wish these were the same color on both sides. I do really like that these are solar powered. Overall, we’re pretty happy with them, issues aside.
