After attaching the magnetic adapter into the shade receptacle and leaving it in place, the wings kit allow me to stay on the ground, and use a grabber tool to easily attach the cord for charging, as the magnetic ends self attach to each other. Without this kit our battery powered electric shades which require charging every 11 months or so would have required a ladder to connect to the charging port, or leaving a charging cord attached all the time, which would be unsightly. Now I stay on the ground, and when charging is complete easily pull the wings charging cord away and stow it without using a ladder or leaving a cord permanently attached. This kit has saved me ever having to get on a ladder again for annual battery charging.
Got these in rapid fire time to Sydney Aust. Not sure if they work yet, waiting for batteries to run out before trying to recharge them. Service, response and delivery though were fantastic. Good Job!
The Smartwings remotes for the blinds are great! They work fantastically well! All of our remotes (7 total) have 15 channels, and each one can control every blind in our house. We have ten Smartwings Nowa window blinds and one for our sliding glass door. All have the Zigbee motor and look and work great! My only complaint about the Smartwings remotes is that the tabs that hold the back plate in place for the battery compartment are too fragile. We already have two remotes where the tabs broke off. Now I have to figure out how to get replacement back plates. Otherwise, we are unbelievably pleased with our experience with Smartwings! The blinds are great! The remotes work really well! Our house looks great and everything works flawlessly with Home Assistant Zigbee2MQTT!!! We will add additional Smartwings exterior blinds to keep the summer sun and heat outside to several south facing windows soon!
