Installation Guide
Before Installation – What You Need to Know
- One Panel Per Shade: Each solar panel is designed to work with a single motorized shade.
- Adhesive Use: Once the solar panel is installed, avoid pulling or repositioning it. The 3M adhesive backing is meant for one-time use.
- Aesthetic Placement: To keep the setup looking clean and discreet, consider placing the motor on the right side to better hide cables.
Determine the Location of the Solar Panel
- Place the panel on the window glass near your motorized shade, preferably where it receives direct sunlight.
- Install the panel on the same side as the motor to minimize visible cables.
- Keep it unobstructed:
- Avoid installing on triple-pane or heavily tinted windows.
- Do not place under awnings, roof eaves, or other overhangs.
- Ensure there are no plants or decorations blocking sunlight.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Clean the Surface
Use a dry cloth to wipe the window glass where you will mount the panel. Make sure it is smooth, dry, and free of dust.
Step 2: Prepare the Panel
Place the solar panel facing up on a flat surface. Carefully peel off the protective backing from the 3M adhesive tape on both sides of the panel.
Step 3: Mount the Panel
Retract the motorized shade, then press the solar panel firmly onto the window glass in the chosen location. Ensure the panel is level and fully adhered.
Step 4: Connect to Your Shade
