The Nowa shades are great and work great with a remote but getting the Matter option is kind of a pain. You have to make sure that a Thread Border Router is within 10 feet from each shade for them not to constantly go to offline. In my case I had a Apple TV 4k (2nd gen) within 10 feet but does not work with the 32gb version that I have. The web site does not explain this in detail (I had to contact support which was helpful). I had a HomePod mini that I was able to move and now it's stable (I hope). Do some research if the Matter shades will work for what equipment you have and actually call support since the web site is not updated. I also had to reset one shade and was not able to correct the direction of H or L. I had to contact support and they sent me a video of how to fix this. I wish Smartwings would have a video section on just the Nowa shades on how to set them up properly. Even with the drama, the shades are really nice!

I purchased the Nowa TDBU light filtering shades and love it. The shades look great and of good quality. The soft light it creates makes for a great ambience in the home. The product is very easy to install and the tolerances are relatively forgiving if do your measurements correctly. SmartWings tech support has been great as well. Incredibly responsive and helpful. Among the best customer support I've encountered for any company. The shade I purchased is my first smart home device and it has been a learning process. I opted for the z-wave motor, but also purchased a smart link pro and remote. You will need a smart link pro or a remote in order to set the shade upper and lower limits, but the shades are more responsive when controlled via z-wave or remote. I setup the shades using the smart link pro and then pretty much don't bother with the smart link pro after that. I have the shade connected to Home Assistant and controlled using a z-wave wall remote with great success.
