Installation was very easy, similar to simple roller shades where you snap the shade into some brackets. The blinds themselves are very light - I could lift them with one arm - so even though they look large, it was still very easy. The remote came pre-wired from the factory so it just worked, but it took some getting used to controlling the upper and lower halves of the blinds - that wasn't very clear from the instructions and took time to figure out via experimentation. We chose the Z-Wave motor and that only took a couple of seconds to pair with the network, but we discovered that we can only control the top half of the blinds via the automation. I took a star off for this because I'm pretty frustrated with how hard it was to set up to begin with (getting custom drivers, doing some non-obvious work) and then still not having full control over these. I've had a call in to support for about a week now with no information. I don't know if I should have gotten a different motor or what, but I had really hoped to integrate these with my home automation settings and I kind of can't now.
